This opening fanfare to Monteverdi’s Vespers also appears as the Toccata from L’Orfeo. It is a showpiece for two Piccolo Trumpets. The 7-piece brass version was recorded by Tim Zimmerman and the King’s Brass on The Best of Brass & Organ and Christmas in Europe.
