This handbell duet was written as a showpiece for the BellTree Duo.  It uses 8 bells played 4-in-hand without needing any tables.  It requires advanced 4-in-hand technique.  It is recorded by the BellTree Duo on Christmas ‘Round the Tree.  The recommended version in D major needs 4 octaves of bells.  An alternate version in C major can be performed with only 3 octaves.

Steadfast was commissioned by Heather Mensch and the Tyler Junior College Trombone Choir.  It was composed for 8-part trombone ensemble and was premiered at TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) on February 13, 2020.

Can you think of someone for whom you are thankful?  Picture in your mind someone who has been good to you, who has shown you kindness and love.  This might be a parent, a mentor, or a best friend – someone who has stood by you when you were struggling.  This piece celebrates goodness, reflects on distressing times, and shouts thankfulness for a steadfast love.

Announcing the December 19, 2015 release of the Worship Orchestra of Washington performing Ben Roundtree’s Symphony No. 1, “Heroes” and worship music for orchestra.  All of the CD sales will go to benefit the Liya Dovgalyuk Foundation and their work with musicians and children with disabilities in Ukraine.

Seit unserer Gründung liegt dem Verein eurobrass die Arbeit von Posaunenchören am Herzen. Wir möchten Chören helfen, ihr musikalisches Können zu erweitern und dazu beitragen, dass sie durch das gemeinsame Musizieren Gottes Gegenwart erleben. Zu diesem Zweck haben unsere eurobrass Komponisten, Chris Woods and Ben Roundtree, schon jahrelang Arrangements für Posaunenchöre geschrieben, aber sie wollten noch mehr tun.
